Q: How has property management helped you in your career development?

A: Over the years, property management has helped me in my career development in many aspects such as; leadership, responsibility and problem solving.  The one thing that I can say is by far the most valuable is establishing strong customer service skills.  With customer service, I have learned a great deal of patience and learning how to handle different types of people and personalities.  Customer service is a daily interaction whether it is with tenants, vendors, asset managers or property owners.  If I were to leave property management today, I believe any field I would go into would require strong customer service skills.

Q: What are some of your hobbies?

A: My hobbies include; co-ed softball, moving watching, traveling and most importantly, spending quality time with my family.

Q: What professional accomplishment are you most proud of?

A: The professional accomplishment that I am most proud of is sticking with property management!  There are so many obstacles and problems to deal with all the time and it really requires a strong mind, willfulness, patience and thick skin.  However, the great part of it is you meet a lot of really wonderful people and every day is a new adventure!

Q: Best vacation you’ve been on?

A: The best vacation I have been on was a family trip spent last summer in Coronado, CA.  Great food, the beach, wonderful weather and the people I love most made it memorable.  However, that might change when I plan my first trip to Hawaii in a couple of years!

Q: Do you have a favorite Quote?

A: My favorite quote is, “When we fill our thoughts with the right things, the wrong ones have no room to enter” ~Joyce Meyer~

Q: If you were stuck on an island what three things would you bring??

A: If I were stuck on an island, the three things I would bring with me are; my family, cell phone and sunblock…..
