Q: How has property management helped you in your career development?
A: Property management has helped me grow both professionally and personally. I had been teaching since I was 16 and felt so comfortable in the educational field that I was afraid to try something else. When I started as a temp I was overwhelmed with the day to day operations. Over time, I gained the confidence and understanding that I needed from the help of my CB team along with my vendors.
Q: What are some of your hobbies?
A: I have always loved playing and watching sports (go Gophers and Vikes!), boating, water skiing, wakeboarding, biking, camping, really anything outside. I play on a couple softball teams but my favorite to play is basketball. If I’m inside, thanks to Pinterest, I have found my inner crafting capabilities.
Q: What professional accomplishment are you most proud of?
A: I think my biggest professional accomplishment is that I was able to transition from an elementary educator and nanny to commercial property management. It was an area that I was very unfamiliar with and I came on only as a temp. But I really enjoyed utilizing my skills from the classroom in a different field and continuously enjoy learning all about what goes on to run a Class A office building.
Q: Best vacation you’ve been on?
A:Do I have to choose only one, because I can’t! My favorite vacations though have been going back to Minnesota. I love going back and seeing my friends, family, and the GREEN. My boyfriend’s parents have a cabin and we always make a point to get up North to the lake.
Q: Do you have a favorite Quote?
A: “Life was throwing me curveballs at me, left and right. But then God gave me a bat and showed me how to swing.”
Q: If you were stuck on an island what three things would you bring??
A: My dog, my phone, and jar of Nutella.
