October in the Know

Did you know we get more out of our fantastic climate by being able to utilize both cool season and warm season annual flowers in the landscape.  Plants are considered annuals if they  complete their growing cycle from seed germination to flower bloom to seed production in a single growing season.  Now that it is cooling off and warm season annuals have finished their life cycles, we will be installing cool season flowers on your properties to extend all of that blooming color into our winter months.  Some of the best cool season flowers for the valley metro area include: petunias, pansies, geraniums, lobelia, snapdragons, flowering cabbage and alyssum.  There really is no replacement for the extreme color that is provided by the planting of annual flowers.  Planting annual flowers in site pottery or in mass planted flower beds will definitely spotlight any portion of your property where visual impact is desired!
